Congratulations to the U16B Diamonds on heading to the U16B Western Canadian Championships in Biggar Saskatchewan on Aug 2-5! Coming from a succesful Provincial Championship in Delta July 12-14, the girls played 7 amazing ball games over the weekend, including a 17 hour day on Saturday where they started on the diamond at 7:15 am and didn’t finish the final game until 10:45 pm.

The team finished 5th overall and has earned the privilege of being one of two teams (and the only Island team) to represent BC at the 2019 U16 Western Canadian Championships in Biggar, SK. The coaches of the team shared that they have worked very hard, played 72 games so far this season, and developed into one of the best ball teams that they have ever had the privilege of coaching – in performance, attitude, sportsmanship, and cohesiveness.

NMSA wishes the players, coaches, managers, and supporting family and friends good luck in Saskatchewan!
