NOTICE – Helmet Rule Change

Please Note – Softball BC has made batting helmet cages mandatory for players aged U16 and under. NMSA recommends ALL players wear a batting helmet with a cage. Please ensure you have updated your helmet with a cage before play begins in April. Players without the mandatory batting helmet cage will not be permitted to play. This is also a good time to check your helmet manufacture/expiry date, which are usually only good for 5 years. Replace any old helmets to ensure players are protected.


2019 Rep Registration Information

Rep players have been selected for 2019 and will be given a registration code to register, $250, for their team once Registration Opens. Please contact your coach with any questions.

2019 House Registration Information

The season is April through June week nights. U6 is 5pm to 6pm and U8+ is 6pm to 8pm. U8+ could be playing from Ladysmith to Parksville depending on teams, and u12+ could also play an occasional game in Port Alberni. U8+ have 2 weekend tournaments, an Ice Breaker at the beginning of May and a Year End toward the end of June usually Father’s Day weekend or the weekend before. U6 have a weekend Year End in June as well, also usually Father’s Day weekend or the weekend before. Teams, Schedules for the season and Ice Breaker Tournaments will be announced and posted in early April and Year End Tournaments announced and posted in mid-May.

All Players will require a ball glove and helmet. Cleats (softball or soccer) are also recommended. See our House Equipment Policy for more information.

* ALL FREE SPOTS ARE FULL. All Fees have been refunded and families of eligible players notified by email. First 50 First Time U6 players will have their registration fee refunded, play their first season for free! Please allow time for eligibility to be confirmed and refunds processed.

**U16/U19 players and teams are often combined, games will be twice a week and could be on any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday depending on the number of teams etc.
