NOTICE - Helmet Rule Change

Please Note – Softball BC has made batting helmet cages mandatory for players aged U16 and under. NMSA recommends ALL players wear a batting helmet with a cage. Please ensure you have updated your helmet with a cage before play begins in April. Players without the mandatory batting helmet cage will not be permitted to play. This is also a good time to check your helmet manufacture/expiry date, which are usually only good for 5 years. Replace any old helmets to ensure players are protected.

Become an Umpire!

Looking for a seasonal part time job? Have a passion for softball? Consider joining Nanaimo Minor Softball Association as an umpire. If you are 12 years of age or older, you are eligible to become certified to umpire softball games. This job is a great way to earn extra cash with pay rates of $30-$35 per game depending on level! Equipment will be supplied as needed. Umpires with the NMSA are eligible to umpire regular season, tournaments and playoff games. Nanaimo Minor Softball Association will cover the up-front registration fees for the umpire clinic to the first 10 interested people

NMSA welcomes you to the upcoming 2019 season – another exciting and never dull past-time in Nanaimo when we of all ages, boys and girls, parents, grandparents and anyone else who loves softball come out to cheer for each other. Board Meeting

The next NMSA Board meeting is Monday March 11, 2019 at 6:30pm. Board meetings are located in the lower meeting room at the Beban field house and are open to all members.
